THE HERSCH & SYBIL NOCK SCHOLARSHIP

Super Happy Healthy Kids expresses its gratitude to Louis L. Nock for establishing The Hersch & Sybil Nock Scholarship in the name and memory of his beloved parents – the late Mr. and Mrs. Hersch and Sybil Nock, of blessed memory.  Mr. and Mrs. Nock were life-long advocates for needy families and individuals throughout the Philadelphia area where they lived.  Their widespread charitable works and constant efforts to help any and all people in need – most notably, children – made them a shining beacon of humanity.  The late Mr. Hersch Nock, a Holocaust survivor, stressed the vital importance of always looking out for your neighbors in their time of need – a value which became very real to him in his own plight during the Holocaust years in Eastern Europe.  

Louis attributes all the good lessons and good experiences in his life to the remarkable love and compassion he saw in his parents, which flowed from them to all people.  We thank him for his generosity in establishing this scholarship to benefit the Super Happy Healthy Kids which, he has said, would have made his parents proud because of the important work that we have done and continue to do for our City’s underserved children and families.
