​Our mission is to empower and equip early childhood educators with the skills, knowledge, and compassion needed to provide a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for young children. Through our program, we aim to foster a new generation of dedicated caregivers who support children's growth, development, and lifelong learning.

​The Early Childhood Development Training Program at Super Happy Healthy Kids is designed for individuals passionate about working with young children. Our comprehensive training prepares future teachers, caregivers, and childcare providers with essential skills in child psychology, classroom management, early learning methodologies, and hands-on caregiving techniques.
We prioritize real-world experience, offering both online coursework and in-person workshops that focus on best practices in child development, safety, and education. Our program ensures that every educator is fully prepared to provide a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment where children can thrive.

Program Overview

The Early Childhood Development Certificate Program prepares students for careers in childcare, early childhood education, and child psychology. This 25-credit curriculum provides a comprehensive foundation in child development theories, safety and first aid, mindfulness techniques, educational philosophies, and classroom management.

ECD 101 - Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR & AED

Course Description:
This course equips students with essential life-saving skills for infants and young children. Participants will receive hands-on training in pediatric CPR, choking response, first aid, and AED usage, meeting national certification standards.

  • Recognize and respond to pediatric medical emergencies.
  • Demonstrate proper CPR, AED, and first aid techniques.
  • Implement safety protocols in childcare environments.

ECD 102 - Introduction to Early Childhood Development

Course Description:
Explores physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional development from infancy to age eight, integrating major child development theories.

  • Compare theories from Piaget, Vygotsky, and Erikson.
  • Analyze the role of caregivers and teachers in child development.​​

ECD 103 - Foundations of Child Psychology

Course Description:
Examines emotional regulation, attachment theories, and early childhood experiences' impact on behavior and learning.

  • Apply psychological theories to early childhood education.
  • Assess the effects of trauma and attachment on child development.​

ECD 104 - Meditation & Mindfulness for Children

Course Description:
Focuses on mindfulness techniques to enhance emotional regulation, stress reduction, and concentration in young learners.

  • Design age-appropriate relaxation exercises.
  • Evaluate the benefits of mindfulness in educational settings.

ECD 107 - Teaching Assistant Training

Course Description:
Prepares students for assistant roles in early childhood classrooms, covering lesson planning, engagement strategies, and classroom management.

ECD 109 - Yoga for Kids & Families

ECD 110 - Infant and Childcare Safety

Course Description:
Covers essential safety practices, emergency response, and injury prevention strategies for young children.
